At last, there is something she can help with. Besides bagging firestone, she thinks with a wry grin. She strokes the other girl's hair, her gaze reassuring. "It's all right, Zythara. Rieth is fine. Mnementh and Areyeth saved you both, and you're going to be fine." She dabs more numbweed on the girl's Threadscores, inwardly clucking. Quite bad wounds. . . but at least Zythara would live. Rieth, however, was a different matter. She moves off to tend to the blue, examining him carefully. The wings were very badly ripped up, and his hide was dotted with spots of oozing ichor. Shaking her head, she tends to the wounds as best she can, yelling at the other weyrlings to help her by restraining the frantic blue, who is calling out in his mind, loud as a foghorn, for his rider.
