Author: T'kaal-Nementh
Subject: Fall ends. . .

As the trailing edge of Thread fades into the distance, T'kaal and Nementh are left hovering high above Ruatha, flaming at remnant bits of Thread. The bronze turns his sorrowful, stormy grey gaze to the carnage, shaking his head. Such awful wreckage. . . How could this happen? We didn't have enough riders, T'kaal thinks. But it's not as bad as it could be. ~What's the tally, Nementh?~ T'kaal inquires of his bronze. One dragon dead—Prosth, D'ven's brown; one young rider and dragon hurt, Zythara and her blue Rieth. T'kaal nods. ~Is D'ven dead as well?~ No. He lives, though without Prosth he may not wish to. He may suicide. I don't know. The bronzerider's head bobs again. He turns to face the wreckage, and finds really very little. Small pockets of Thread burrows here and there, but not much, and those were being taken out by Ruatha groundcrews. T'kaal's smile is grim. At least Ruatha was safe, though safety came at a high price these days. A sigh escapes his lips, seeming louder than it really is in the still air full of static electricity. Suddenly, T'kaal feels the weight of his exhaustion drop onto him like a rock. During the Fall, necessity had kept him from acknowledging his weariness, but now that it was over. . . He slumps over Nementh's neck, struggling to keep his eyes open. ~Let's go home. . .~ His tired dragon agrees wholeheartedly and quickly enters between, anticipating his nice, warm ledge back at Ista. . .
