Geisill Hills

Mostly herders with their sheepdogs and sheep live up here, a tightnit community that lives off the land and the sheep. Border Collies roam, but stick close to their masters when called. Beware the occasional angry ram however! The barren hills offer good vegetation for the animals, and breathtaking veiws of the green valley's.

In his entire life, he would never have dreampt of being here, fleeing from the very three individuals he'd believed were eternal allies and cohorts. There was the drumming of hooves against a tightly-packed dirt road, the rhythmetic beating of the executioner's instrument. They were giving chase to him, the scholar Drifter, because he was a traitor and a spy. How it had come to this, why they willed to kill him for taking the path he knew was right, he would never know.

He remembers his orders as clearly as if he'd taken them himself. He felt better, leaning forward in his exhausted mount's saddle as he thought of his small family. By now, the would have reached their haven at the next village. They were safe, he decided. Safe enough. But was he? Was this boy? If only miracles were true.

The topped the hill and began their descent towards the dip in the dusty road. With a slightly panicked glance, Clive glances over at Briar to assure himself that the boy had not fallen out of his saddle. Clive did not know if Briar knew how to ride or not, but he was not allowed to look long enough to tell. Either way, he appeared to be managing well enough. Their horses, however, were not in their prime. Already the Drifter felt the gelding's sides heaving as he tried to climb the next hill. The task was gruelling, and it was allowing their perusers to catch up all the quicker.

Their persuers -- three skilled Drifters he once knew. Perhaps loved, at a time long since passed. Once, at a time long since passed that he could not recall very well, they were like family. Not like the money-driven bandits they had become in the present, bearing down on them on fresh mounts with their cross-guns drawn.

Clive tore his eyes away from the road long enough to check over his shoulder. Amidst the dust clouds, he was able to determine one body from the other astride their horses. At the lead was a young woman with straight brown hair, tied back in the fashion of a Drifter. Behind her were his remaining former comrades -- a large, tan Baskar man and the silver-haired youth with a smart mouth. Chasing him. No, he was wrong. They were chasing the boy, this Briar, his charge and last complete chance to maintain the freedom of the badlands -- his home. His refuge.

The Drifter gripped the reins tighter and spurred his gelding forward. Despite its fatigue, the poor horse managed to speed up slightly. It groaned miserably, sputtering as it tried to obey its driver and manage to breathe in the cloudy mayhem...

The sun had set only once since the two had met at the sea. And the moment is only too clear in his mind to let go of, the sight of the maiden, apparently dead, unclothed, laying on the shore beside the roaring waves, and drove a stake through his heart. But who really knows why, she had been so beautiful...perhaps it really saddened him he could never have a creature as beautiful as this...or perhaps he was thinking of her family, who at the news, would crash like the waves.

No matter, as he escorts her along the many hills and valleys of Geisill, his sharp blue eyes watch the territory carefully, to keep themselves protected, bu more importantly her, his life. His arm was around her waist using support from there, while the other swung by his side. He smiles as they stop utop a hill, his eyes venture to her beautiful face...

"These are the hills, Lyra."

It took the woman a while to get here, but she had to close up the shop and everything before she could leave. However, she came...she slowly walks up and down the hills to where the fighting would take place. Once she was there, she sat down with her legs in a hook and she adjusted her dress around them. She doesn't say anything or do anything, she wouldn't want to distract Kenji when he was fighting, so she just watches.

A message was sent directly to Ravyn's mind from the tree spirit, since Adraine was unconcious and could not do so. "Chariz tried to kill Belzac after Adraine had persuaded him not to fight. There was nothing I could do to stop her, but she insisted on unleashing the powers of the unicorn gem to save him. Now she is unconcious, but we(by we he meant him and Belzac) are trying all we can by the council of the trees to save her. Hopefully she'll be reporting back to you in an hour or so, but I can not tell, for she has already entered the Otherworld. But I'm guessing that we are winning from what the trees have told me. Best of luck, and I hope I have not wasted your time." Then the message ended as quickly as it had come.

A young woman walked along, a silver stallion followed close behind her. The two seemed not to care about what was happening around them when suddenly, a scream broke through the air. The maiden lifted her head quickly, the wind casting her golden locks about like the ocean on a stormy day. Her grey eyes sparked as she scanned the horizon. Slowly, but smooth-like, the elf tightened her grip on her longbow, reached behind her back to her quiver, and fixing an arrow on it's string, pulling it taunt, she swerved around, looking for anything unusual.

She walks around, all the time keeping her satin jade dress from touching the ground as the fall wind blows the curls from her bun around causing most of it to fall down. Mia comes back with a shovel that�s too heavy for her to carry so she drags it in. She starts making a break in the ground. She tires out, gazing at the fire, unsure whether it could be under control. She keeps digging, using strength Mia has in her. Mia wasn�t sure if she heard the muffled screaming of a banshee, but since she was working so hard, she thought it must be her mind playing tricks. She worked harder, digging and piling the dirt.

A tall, young man enters. He wouldn't be spotted as he was at the Docks.. His apparel had been changed into breeches and shirt, unlike the armor he once bore. In his brawny arms, a bundle was carried. The young man who is called Will eventually stops once high within the hills, opening the rucksack open his back to set up camp.

The bundle in his arms is lay carefully upon a blanket before a fire is started. A little trouble is involved, never having made a fire before, but he had learned about them. Sitting close to the fire, he pokes the fire quietly with a stick, whilst frequently sending affectionate glances towards the bundle..

On the blanket, the bundle stirs slightly when the young man isn't looking.. It is found to be a young woman with long, golden hair and lustrous, dark blue eyes. Her apparel had apparently been removed by the male and replaced with a white dress of long, flowing material that was almost misty.

The dark man enters the hills. Cesely in his arms kicking with little energy having kicked from the docks. Her eyes wander around the hills only hoping Shadow would find her. But the man walks on ignoring her untill he reaches the mountains, he flies up to one of the mountains into his dark cave. There sits a chair, and a bed, along with food and other sorts. He drops Cesely in a chair and stares at her. "Don't even think of trying to escape, it's impossible. I won't put another curse on you, I sware." Cesely glares at him and stays seated, "I hate you, with the fire of a thousand suns, I hate you." The man smirks and takes a seat on his bed and continues to stare at him, Cesely looks away into the hills for Shadow.

Late into the night, a young girl dash along an over-grown path, covered with creeping vines, spider vines, and poision ivy, but the girl felt none of the sneaking vines under her feet. She felt none for she was a generation witch. Her great-great grandmother was born a witch and now her power was passed down to her. A power to feared and respected. The girl more gliding then running, came to a halting stop and the base of the biggest mountian in Kavanagh. The towns people called it Mount Dragons-Peaks, because a thousand year old dragon was said to live there, but most adults in the town have forgottin the story of the dragon so they think it is rubbish. Oh but this girl new there was a dragon up there, because that dragon was her. . .

As the cloaked figure walks into the fields he glances around. Being known as A Black Shadow he takes his time. He then comes across a cave that is in the field and he walks into it. The cave is dark and damp as he sits down on the rock. the cold wind howls as it blows in and back out of it. He then leans on te wall of the cave wall and with his eyes very distant he removes his hood again. His black hair blows a little in the wind as he stairs off into the blackness of the cave. He thinks I don't deserve stuff like the other people because of my harsh past and what I have done in the present. He then remains sitting there silent.

As he walks in silently he tries to stealth himself so no one will see him. He then walks over to a part of the fields. He looks around to see if anyone is watching. He then pulls out a sword. A sword that was at least 40" long. It had a silver blade with a black dragon symbol down the blade. He spins the sword in his hand saying I thought I would not have to use this. He then sheaths it and walks out as silently as he came.

.the woman drops, more out of exhaustion then hunger.

.moments later, though, she is up and eating again as her energy was replenished also hoping no one saw her.
