Subject: Nadia walks into the Cavern and takes out her new sling.

Nadia picks up a couple of rocks from the cave floor. "I am going to learn how to master this thing, even if it takes me years to!" She looks around for something to aim at and decides that a redish part on the wall would be it. She steps back and pulls the sling. She put it up to her eye to try to aim. When she had it where she wanted it, she let the rock fly foreward. "Shoot! I missed!" She missed terribly. The rock had gone to far up and to the right. Still determined to get good, Nadia continued to try to hit the spot.

You can hit it. Just aim and concentrate! She took carefull aim, held her arm steady, and released it while still having her sling in the spot that she wanted. She hit the spot beautifully. [> Flintage smiles out-right, teeth flashing. "That's perfect. I think you're ready to try moving targets now. Griblenitch!" His assistant appears pushing a rolling prop. She sets the target on it and secures it. "All ready!" She calls. Flintage grins again. "Okay, this is how we're going to do things." He says to Nadia. "Griblenitch here will push the target while you shoot at it. Got it? Go!" Griblenitch starts off at a run. -- Flintage, 17:52:20 08/12/02 Mon

Unfortunately, it missed and hit behind Griblenitch. She quickly reached for another stone, being very much determined to hit the target. She tried aiming right in front of the prop. Nope, she was too much ahead. With eyes still focused on the target, she took a stone and aimed a little closer in front of the target. She hit it, but barely. She held in her victory, and with eyes never leaving the target, she continued to sling stones at it, hitting it about every third time.

"This time," she said to herself, "I'm going to keep my eyes on the target always and reach for stones without removing my eye contact ever, or looking to see where I'm going. [> Nadia was not startled by the start. She immediately released her prepared sling and hit the target. She reached for another stone, still having eyes locked on target, but her hand fumbled a little bit when trying to reach into the bag. She finally got another one out and set her sling, then let it go immediately. She continued this and it started to become easier and easier to take stones out of the pouch. She only missed a couple times, but only by a hair. -- Nadia, 20:58:29 10/04/02 Fri
