I am preparing Gold Dust for the show. She is my good show horse. First, I warm her up, at a walk, then move into a trot. We do a 20 meter circle at each end of the ring. Then, we canter. Gold Dust loves cantering! After about 10 circles around the ring, I set up some small verticles, about 1 foot tall. Gold Dust clears it, and seems to want to jump higer, so I raise it to 2 feet. The same, she clears it, and is anxious. I raise the jump 1 foot higher each time, until we reach 5 feet. I cool her out, and dismount after that.
