Deep beneath a mountain in an abandoned mine is the base of the Nightshadow, a huge underground fortress, the only way there is through a labyrinth of dark tunnels leading in all different directions.
In the middle of the maze of tunnels and shafts is a large hall, the fortress. It is lighted by wall torches all along it's extremities. The hall is huge, high ceilinged with a parapeted walkway just below this, running all around the wall of the hall, halting at a pit. The stairs, either side at the back of the hall, just near the pit.
The only entrance to the hall is a large grated doorway. Directly above this entrance is a stone room which can only be accessed by the raised walkway.
At the further back are a few buildings. Like a small town within the cavern. At the extreme back, across a narrow wooden/rope bridge spanning a black pit stretching from hall wall to wall, are several cells hewn into the rock. The cells are barred with steel. Running behind the cells is a narrow corridor, from which the cells can be seen through small grated doors near the bottom of the wall.
To the left of the cells are dark, unexplored tunnels leading off deep into the depths of the mountain.
(Here lies the base of the Nightshadow deep beneath a mountain. The Nightshadow now replenished with many beasts guarding this fortress.)

- Oh and their are several things you should realise. More than half of your beasts running 200m into the open at the rats. Which to get to them need to climb a flight of stairs. Well...it gives them ample time to be cut down. And remember the rats have the parapets and hides to seek cover behind. But that is a stale argument. But this information may be useful if you do find a way to cross the pit. As you should know the single bridge is out. Though if any of you try running in the air again...well, fall to hell at your own expense. Strange...most of you already ran over the pit. No matter...we'll overlook it this time. Snapping the visor down he grabs a crossbow and attaches it to his belt, he selects several daggers placing them in the belt also. He straps on the armour guards for his legs and takes down a large shield. He holds up his war hammer and smiles stiffly. His only eye glancing around.** Now, is the time for me...Nightshadow.   - **The rats charge on the wolf. Two rats, Skang and Suttar, attack with their pikes, Skang hooking his pike on the shield and trying to pull it down. Suttar thrusting her pike at the wolf's head. A rat called Soran fires an armour piercing arrow from his longbow at the wolf's side which is not defended directly by the shield.     - **The wolf pauses as the rats attack, lunging forward as his shield is pulled down, pulling back on the hooked pike and slamming his hammer down at Skang's head. With a growl tearing off the vision blocking helmet and throwing it at Soran's head, the shadowolf is suddenly knocked to the side by Erpcore, unable to keep his balance in the armour he topples over the edge of the battlements and lands with a great noise on the ground below, winded and bruised but otherwise unharmed by the fall. Still clutching his shield and war hammer tightly, he rolls to the side trying to rise, wincing, blood flowing from his face arm and side. Sumarin stands and roars.** Come to me SCUM!! AAARGH!!       - **The 11 dark birds hurl themselves at Shadowolf. Ralak the raven weels in slowly and flys toward the wolf's head. - **The fox leaps forward with a growl** Get out NOW!! **pushing Blaze out of the way he, takes the arrows. Two arrows pass over head as two embed themselves in his chest and another in his shoulder, one arrow hits him in the stomach and another in the side. As the last arrow buries into his leg he drops to the ground. He gasps with pain.** It's not so bad...quick, run...go....please...**His face twisted with pain he looks up pleadingly and remains still. - Hmm? Well, you did not mention the distance between tunnels, or their frequency, as such, you're defense is pitiful. As to alts, I confess, I have quite a few. The dazed Lograa who was flapping wearily in the direction of shadowolf is caught by the back swing of the hammer. The raven disappears into the pit below the bridge, wing thouroughly broken and ribs severely cracked. The remaining ravens, Nightraven, Korak, Aragra, Klakara, Dragol, Ralak, Strakla and Akraar circle above. Strakla and Akraar break off from the group and swoop down at the cell end of the bridge, slashing the four ropes supporting the bridge.   Treespear charges under full bloodwrath.     Shadowmarten drops to the ground as the shield flies overhead, as soon as he opens his eyes the badger is leaping at him.
