Ill have to guess what youre talking about here. If you bypass the main page (the one with the Nigel Fan Site logo and counter and Motherhood in Black and White thing) it doesnt count as a hit, no. So if you go straight to the meat of the site at http://nigelfans.web1000.com/main.htm and thereby bypass http://nigelfans.web1000.com/index.htm for example, it wont register as a hit. Not a big deal, really. I dont get $.05 a hit or anything. I could put a counter on every page, but Im not that interested. Virtually everybody goes to the index.htm page first anyway because thats the one that www.nigelfans.cjb.net takes you to.

In fact, the site used to not even have that index.htm page in the current form. Originally, the first page of the site was similar to the main.htm page of the current site. I only designed the title page as a way of getting around the advertisement system of one of the servers the site used to be on (nbci.com...?) who would put pop up ads or something on the index.htm page of your site. So I put the dummy index.htm front page up that had the banner, etc but directed nigelfans.cjb.net to go directly to the main.htm page -- and thereby saved the legions of online Nigel Fanatics from having to see any advertisements! It was brilliant! Even after I changed to ad-free servers I kept the title page up though because it looks better that way anyway.

Just a bit of Nigel Fan Site trivia there...if you can understand it...I wasnt too clear.
