Subject: New Head Coach

I am a lifelong resident of the City of Canton, a product of Canton City Schools, and hold great respect and admiration for our local community, school system, Dr. Charles Keenan, and Superintendent Diane Talerico.

It was brought to my attention, that Coach Robert Proctor of Akron Firestone High School has gained an abundance of experience during his numerous years of coaching, at the high school, college, and professinal level. The following is list of his credentials:
1. Graudate of Mckinley High School (1972)
2. Honorabale discharged United State Marines
3. Walsh University, B.A holds teaching certificate
4. Former Defensive Coordinator at Akron Buchtel
5. Offensive Coordinator, Central State University
6. Running Backs Coach, Ohio University
7. Assistant Coach Indinapolis Colts
8. His student/athletic have a overhall 2.8 GPA

Critics will argure that Coach Proctor have a 9-11 record at Akron Firestone High School. However, Firestone had 28 students and 30 students the second year in a divison 11 program, played football. In comparison, this past season St. Thomas Aquinas at 48 students in Division 5, Central Catholic High School 50 students in Divison 3 and Timken High School 52 students in Division 2.

I strongly believe that given the chance and opportunity to be the Head Coach at Mckinley Senior High School, Mr. Proctor would prove himself to be both a valuable asset to Canton City Schools and the community at large, by placing equal emphasis on the academic welfare, discipline, and athletic accomplishments of our students.
