*Personality: N�kat has a shining personality. He is very kind, and will normally help anyone he can. He is very bright (as in smart) and can usually solve any problem faster than others his age. He loves animals, especially dragons and other such creatures. He�ll do anything for any animal, be it dragon, wherrie, or even feline! However, he�ll always be cautioned when working with such creatures; he�s no dimglow! He has trouble fitting in, however. When the Harper that taught you was constantly complimenting you, your chances of fitting in, even later in life, are just about 1-999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999� However, he has some short of calm, sweet air to him. People just enjoy his presence. However, no one really stays with him long. For as long as he can remember, he never had a true friend.

*Appearance: N�kat is about 4'11, height always being something he was ridiculed for. He�s got dark red hair with black natural highlighted areas. His hair is very unique; in the very back, it�s just tickling his upper-middle neck. However, as it comes across the side of his head to his face, it slants down, getting steadily longer until it stops, rich red hair in the longest part reaching a bit below his neck. His skin is a creamy whitish color, which doesn�t burn easily. He has wide, inquisitive eyes that always seem to be thinking about something. They are also very exceptional. They start a deep, midnight black, the outer edges being the darkest parts. However, they gently turn lighter, and somehow turn to a light gold-crimson. They seem to always understand you. He is very slender and skinny, making him seem less strong than he really is. Of course, he isn�t the strongest, but he can defend himself if (and when) the need arises. He is skilled with the sword, though he will not attack a human. Not even to defend. He�d rather die than ever hurt a human being on purpose, even for defense.

*History: N�kat came from a far away Hold, where he was the least liked child there. He was short, weak, and smart. Just the wrong short of kid for his Hold. The other kids would often pick on him, and after the teachings from their local Harper, they�d corner him, drag him to a nearby Cove, and beat him. He was just an unwanted kid. He never came home, because his parents were abusive as well. They�d not wanted a child, and always got into fights, releasing their steam on him in an abusive way. So, he simply didn�t come home some days. However, his abusive treatments didn�t stop him from being smart, kind, and forgiving. Also, the beatings he got have increased is endurance and stamina at an unbelievable rate. He was able to escape bullies and his parents with his cunning sometimes, but then, when they did get to him, he was hit even harder. One day, when he came to class with a large bruise across his cheek, the Harper finally asked him to stay after school. He trained for five turns after classes in the art of defense. However, this didn�t really help. There was one lesson he couldn�t learn: how to actually hurt another human being.
Then, one fateful day, a search was conducted at his small Hold. He was searched, and his parents signed his release slip without telling him. The whole Hold didn�t think he�d ever get a dragon, but stay there as a drudge. They entertained this thought with much pleasure, and sent him off with the search dragon, to the clutch at Telgar Weyr�

Where he impressed Verealth, his first friend. verealth has always had a sparkling, healthy hide, and, in contrast to his rider, is very large, almost queen-sized. His shining personality made him the best friend N'kat could ever have.
