Author: Jari
Subject: Candidate.

Name: Jari
Gender and Age: female, 23 Turns
Appearance: You couldn't pick her out of a crowd at a Gather if you tried. Absolutely plain. Earth-brown hair, wavy and chopped to a little past shoulder-length. Fair skin, usually tanned to some extent from the exertions of sustaining herself in the wilds. Dark blue-ish eyes, a little too dull to be called true blue, shadowed under unshaped brows and watching everything keenly. Simplistic, worn, well-cared-for brown clothing, made from wherry and feline hides.
Personality: To look at her and to know her solitary past in the wilds of the southern continent, you might expect Jari to be a very serious and introspective individual who avoids socializing. However, you'd be wrong. Though an intensive person who isn't one to babble nonsensically, Jari enjoys company to share experiences with--her words are often rhythmic and imagery-rich, and unconsciously she'll be drumming lightly on the tabletop or her thighs to give a background theme to the stories she tells. She likes people in general, believing them to be good and true at heart, and is open and honest in her relations with them--what you see is what you get. She's practical and down-to-earth, hard to panic but relatively easy to make happy or angry. She enjoys hard work and being productive, simply because she's not accustomed to having the opportunity to be lazy or relax for more than a few precious minutes each day.
History: To be brief, Jari has lived alone and taken care of herself since she was about 17; a friend of hers died then, taken by fire-head, and Jari's never spoken of her since. However, since she's not an angsty person by nature, few ever realize that she had a companion for some years in the wilderness. Only recently, while cooking a kill over a fire on the shores of the southern continent, was Jari found by a greenrider--Tanikli--and given a ride back into civilization on beautiful Euroth's back. Since meeting the dynamic duo, she's had something of a mild obsession with green dragons and hopes to Impress one, or at least get a green flit or five.
Skills: Jari is skilled in the usual survival things--fishing, foraging, hunting, basic first aid, basic herbs and concoctions, cooking over an open fire, rock-climbing, what have you. However, her only notable talent is hunting--she's an incredibly good hunter and doesn't shirk from any part of the task, from stalking to the kill to gutting the beast to curing the meat and decently tanning the hide. Her only non-practical skill is playing the drums, which is where many of the skins of her kills went--she loves the pounding rhythm and is unnervingly adept at simulating events with a mere alteration of the beat (like a dragon's flight or a runner's hooves).
