*they run alongside the shoreline, kicking up little spurts of sand. Cody nudges Zing to the left, into the water. when they are fetlock deep, he gives Zing his head as they gallop through the salt water. the ocean water sprays onto his face and arms, a welcome change to the heat. as they get further from the people beaching, he rises in the stirrups and slows Zing's Berry Brother down to a trot. he makes a U-turn and trots to a cove. he stops his gelding and dismounts, hanging on to one rein. he goes inside the cove. inside, there is a tiny aqua pool that seems to glow, casting wavering cyan light all over the walls. he finds a place to safely tie Zing and crawls a little further. there are various rocks to sit comfortably on. he looks into the aqua pool and sticks one finger into it. it feels like regular water. he slowly slides his hand in and takes a cupful. he takes a sip of the water that slowly drains from his hand and swallows. it was pure, fresh water. he allowed Zing to reach in and take a sip. he then stopped his horse; he didn't want all the water to run out. he smiles and takes in his surroundings. a man-sized hole, big enough for one to crawl through, stands above a rock. he stands on the rock and pulls himself into the large hole. there is light on the other end and he crawls out to find himself getting an ariel view of his horse. he scuttles back down and drops to the rock. he creeps out of the cove and unties Zing. he mounts his warmblood again and writes some notes of his discovery in the notebook he brought. he puts it back in his saddlebag and takes his bottled water out from the other side. he takes a small sip and puts it back. he signals Zing to canter and he canters around the tide and the beach for awhile*
