'Morning Mom'
'Good morning honey'
'Mom?'
'Yes, Stephie?'
'Have you seen my butterfly necklace with the jewels in it?'
'No honey, why, is it missing?'
'Yes, and the weird thing is I put it on my nightstand and
now it's not there.'
'Well, that is weird, because my bracelet with the jewels
in it is missing too.'
The next day all of my jewelery with jewels on them were
missing.
I was confused, so I went down to the waterfall down pass
the brook so I could think.
I sat on the edge of the waterfall on a rock and wondered
who could have taken my jewelery.
Then as I was looking into the waterfall I saw all sorts of
flashing shiney colors.
It was evening time so the sun was setting low.
So, as curious as I am I walked under the waterfall.
I saw a door with jewels on it, all sorts of beautiful
jewels. I opened the door and creeped in.
The whole place was full of jewels, the walls, the floors
and even the ceiling, it was so beautiful.
There was three piles of gold and you could tell that the
gold use to be jewelery that had jewels in them.
I walked around the room in amazement of all the beauty
that the jewels reflected.
Then all of a sudden a dragon flew into the room,
I was so scared.
The dragon was beautiful, it was blue and pink and very
shiney. I looked into it's eyes and I could tell that it
was more afraid of me than I was of it.
'Please don't hurt me,' The dragon said,
'Why would I do that'? I replied.
'I don't know' she said in a small voice.
'Well, I won't hurt you'.
'My name is Stephanie, what is your name?'
As the dragon walks closer to me, 'My name is Jewels.'
'Pretty name', I said.
'Is that why you have all these jewels?'
'Yes, I love jewels', replied the dragon
'They are so beautiful, my lair is very big and full of
jewels, I'll show you around if you promise not to hurt me.'
'Now why would I do that?'
'Alot of people think that all dragons are mean, but I am
a good dragon and there are not very many of us left.'
'I promise not to hurt you', I said.
We went through the whole lair, and every inch of it was
full of jewels, emralds, rubies, diamonds, sapphires, every
jewel ever made, it was so beautiful.
I finally got the courage to ask her if she had been to my
house and was the one that took my jewelery, she said yes,
that she couldn't help herself, but because I was so nice
to her that I could pick every type of jewel there was as
long as it was only one of each.
So I went through the lair and I picked all of my jewels,
one of each.
She then said to me, 'Why have you picked such small ones?'
I replied, 'Why would I want any other ones, the ones I
have are so beautiful and I don't want to disturb your lair.'
'Okay she said, I hope you like what you have chosen.'
'Oh, I do, very much.'
'I am sorry I took your jewelery, I just love jewels so
much, and I can't help myself.'
'It's okay,' I said.
'Well, I have to go Jewels, my Mom will be worried about
me if I don't get home soon.'
'Oh wait' Jewels said.
'Yes Jewels', I replied.
'Can you come back tomorrow?'
'Sure, what time?'
'The same time as you did today'
'Okay, see you tomorrow Jewels'
'Bye Stephanie'
'Bye Jewels'
The next day I met with Jewels again, and we had so much
fun together playing hide and seek in her beautiful lair.
We became the best of friends. I told her that I promise
that I will never let anyone hurt her, she was so happy
and thankful.
When it was time for me to leave she gave me a velvet blue
bag and told me not to open it until I got home. I said
okay.
'Bye Jewels'
'Goodbye Stephanie and thank you for being my friend'
I gave her a hug and went on my merry way.
When I got home I went into my bedroom and opened the blue
velvet bag and emptied the contents on to my bed.
All of my jewelery and my Mom's jewelery was there with much bigger jewels in them than before, plus more jewels
much, much bigger than before. I couldn't believe it.
I called my Mom up to my room and told her all about the
dragon and showed her what I had received from her. She was
so happy for me. She said, 'Why don't we go back and thank
the dragon for these gifts.'
So off we went to the waterfall.
We went through the waterfall and found the door, but the
door was not the same. We entered the lair, but there was
nothing there, no Jewels and no lair of jewels. We went in
a little further and there upon a rock was a statue of a
beautiful dragon with many jewels on it, under the statue
was a note, and this is what it said....
To my best friend Stephanie, the only jewel in the world
is you and no amount of jewels in this world could take
the place of you and your friendship, thank you and someday
we will meet again........
