Subject: History of Sosaria

HISTORY

The history of The Militia started before Lord British seized control of Sosaria, as the Protectors of the
Kingdom of Havenwood, for the Count of Havenwood, the towns of Minoc and Vesper and forest east of them.
Along with Havenwood several other Duchies, Baronies and Countships ruled. These included:
The Crossroads, Cove, Britain, Yew, Paws( Between Britain and Trinsic area), Valoria(Valor Isles),
Solivia(Dungeon Deceit, Ice Isle), Nordmark(Area around Wrong), Guerain(Skara Brae area), Garondale(Far
Southern Tip of Sosaria, Maginica, Jhelom, Moonglow, Occlo and Nujel�m.
Havenwood at the time previous to the War of the Virtues( When �Lord� British seized control of Sosaria)
was allied with Nordmark, The Crossroads and Guerain.
The following is a timeline up from the beginning of recorded history to the end of The War of the Virtues.

Only Complete History of Brittania/ Sosaria existent

1=First date recorded by a monk somewhere near the area that is now Yew.
297=Endpoint of the age of Chaos, man settles to the land and becomes farmers, merchants and hunters.
493-511=Nobility established, no King, Council of Lords
713=Ambitious Lord British assumes power in Britain
721=At annual meeting of Lords at Solivia Lord British assassinates the following Lords: Count Relnorivian of
Yew, Sir Gustabo of Cove, Duke Vanglarordean of Valoria, Sir Gerrand of Paws and Prince Eldrimi of the
Crossroads. The following cities and their lords were loyal to Lord British had been conspiring with him to place
him on the throne of the entire country: Duke Morgan of Trinsic, Archmage Magligorent of Magincia, Sir
Darkheart of Jhelom and Archmage Kalvarog of Moonglow
The Following Lords escaped with their lives through the valiant efforts of their bodyguards: Count Nathiar
deMonte I of Havenwood, Baron Beledron of Occlo, Viscount Charlon de Bouvere of Nujel�m, Archlord Thelindal
of Nordmark, Duke Mordren of Solivia, Mayor Beviere of Skara Brae, Earl Renfreldrin of Guerain and Earl
Takengore of Garondale.
729=Assumes power as King over lands that had collaborated with him and seizes Paws and Cove (through a
naval attack) while the other lands that had their Lords slain in a cowardly manner along with the escaped
Lords violently opposed him.
730-734=Drives the defenders of Valoria into the sea, costing him 1/4 of his total army. Burns Nordmark,
leaving him with a military force 1/4 the size of his former army. Blockades all island cities but Solivia until
they surrender from starvation. At the end of this time only The Crossroads, Garondale, Guerain, Yew and
Havenwood were left to oppose him.
4th day of 6th month,735=Remaining forces against the Fiend British gather at the Crossroads for a final battle
assault.
7th day of 6th month,735=A horde of demons and undead, summoned the by the Necromancer Nystul and the
Dark Mages of Moonglow attack the Crossroads and, in the end, despite the valiant efforts of the Militia and
other groups dedicated to Freedom, the forces of evil won the battle-and the war.
(The son of the Count that died in the battle defending the Crossroads was hidden by servants. Lord British had
his family�s castle and holding were burnt to a cinder. Since then the first born son of each descendant has
carried to knowledge that his family shall rise again and that the evil fiend �Lord� British shall be deposed and
the land will be free again. )
1473=Current Count of Havenwood was born
1490=Leaves home east of Minoc to become a miner, while in Minoc finds corruption has seeped into his
countrymen beyond belief. Starts The Militia to stop rampant thieves and murderers.
1493=Elected Mayor of Minoc
?????= New events and history shall be added when they occur.
