Shane's Apartment
Shane's place isn't the brightest or most attractive but it does the job. The furniture is all black leather, the floors slate gray tile and the walls matching the tile. The blinds are usually drawn, so there isn't much sunshine. Through a door is the spacious kitchen and down a hall is a bathroom and two bedrooms. Shane is usually somewhere around, with his friends not far behind.
The Bedroom

So he was back. Again. He was glad he'd held onto this apartment for all this time. It was a relief to come back. Pushing open the door, he took a deep breath, memories flooding him. Nona...Faith. So different but he missed them both. What had happened to them? Sighing, he pushed that thought from his mind and went to searching. He was almost sure he had stashed some stuff in the hall closet last time.

Femme enters the lodge, using the key that Shane had given her. It had been a few weeks since she'd moved in, and she was cozy there. It was home. She slides her shoes off at the door, scratching her head as she does so. She stretches her back before moving into the kitchen to grab a Diet Coke from the fridge. She had been in a job interview to work as a secretary for the law firm a couple blocks down all day, so she was itching to get out of the formal wear and into some sweats. She moves to the bedroom, where a few pieces of her clothing -- mostly the comfy stuff -- was thrown into a drawer. She changes quickly, moving back out to the living room to turn on the tube and await Shane's arrival.

She stopped in front of the door, worried about what he would say, think or even do. She hadn't seen Luke in forever and wondered if he'd even remember her. She'd changed, not so much in appearence, but inside. Her perspective on life was so much different then it had been when she'd first met him. Pushing the stroller, she rummaged through the bag on top, finding what she'd been looking for and putting a pacifier in each of the two babys' mouths. She smiled a little and rubbed their heads gently. Taking a deep breath and sighing, finally building up the courage to lightly tap on the door, waiting for an answer.

Silently, he moved into the apartment, cradling the baby in his arms. He looked around quickly, satisfied to find no-one else there. He gently laid the baby on the couch, brushing a finger over her forehead lightly. He smiled, barely able to believe she was his child. Then he straightened up everything quickly before Faith arrived, stuffing swag into the closet and picking up the money that laid out in bundles on the coffee tables. He stopped to ruffle through the stacks of bills, mentally counting them.

She moved slowly back into the apartment, her face tear-stained, and sat down on the couch. The place where her and Luke had once been sitting. He unlocked the door and shoved it open, not a bit suprised to see two occupants already inside. Shaking his head, he closed it back behind him. "Luke, you need to get your on fucking apartment, kid. You use mine more than I do.." He said, eyes flitting to the girl with him. He smirked, and nodded at her. "Hey..I'm Shane." He introduced himself, leaning back against the door and tilting his head backwards to look at them through hooded black eyes.

Femme moves up the stairs of the building, finally coming to rest at his door. She knocks a few times, getting no response. She reaches down and tries to knob -- wow, it's open. She moves inside the apartment, still not seeing anyone. She moves to the bathroom and throws up -- she could hold her alcohol, but it had been too long a night for the old girl. She then moves to his bedroom and lies down, drifting off to sleep. The sitter could stay the night.

He bursts in, arm around Mahlon and missing his shirt. Streaked with blood, he lies him on the couch and fetches a few things to clean up and re-dress the wound with. His face contorted with rage, he hurries back and begins his work.

He laid back, trying not to think about the pain and wishing for Nicky. "Shane..please go get her..it's just a flesh wound.." He begs, then watches Shane obey him and hurry out.

Looking down he realized he was still naked and retrieved his clothing from the floor. Quietly he snuck into the bathroom, showered and redressed. He throws the door open, storming inside, not particularly happy with himself. He stares at the guns laid out carefully on the table and moves past them to the couch, where he finds he doesn't feel like sitting.

Shortly afterwards, he opens the door, Nicky in tow. Looking a bit suprised to see Shane in such a bad mood, he looks a bit sheepish. "Um..Shane, would you mind and me and my lady here used a room of your house for a moment?"

He pushed open the door, glancing around for Mahlon and Nicky quickly, then stepping aside for Kayli. He was strangely uncomfortable now that they were alone together for the first time in awhile, but you could never tell from his cool persona. He hurries into the dark sancutuary of Shane's apartment, hurrying to lock the door behind Nicky while avoiding her eyes. He dropped onto the couch heavily. "It went all wrong, Nick.." He sighs, his head in his hands, fingers massaging his temples. "We can't go out for awhile. I gotta hit the matresses until the search is off. If anyone asks you something..I haven't been around for a few months and you don't know where I am, okay?" He says quickly, and quietly. He hated the way that sounded, but it was more than neccessary.

He unlocked the door, then held it open for her. Once she was inside he closed the door with his foot and smiled at her. It'd been awhile since he saw her, and wasn't exactly sure what to do, so he just walked over to her and took her in his arms, warm and hard from the working out he'd done constantly during the last three months. He kissed her softly, one hand sliding up to fist gently in her hair.

Slamming the door behind him, he moves into the dim apartment. Glancing around, he heads to the kitchen, retrieving a Corona and a cup of ice. His tall, muscled frame falls quickly onto the couch behind him, abandoning the cup, sipping the drink. His eyes close in contentment. Now if only he had a women to make him feel even happier. Two possibilities come to mind..one more desired than the other.
