In reply to: Tess 's message, "I love southern accents! They're so...I don't know...southern? lol*" on 21:30:34 07/31/02 Wed

Guess what gals? I'm going to see Bob Dylan live on Friday night, so I'll be home at midnight at the earliest, then I have to get up at 5:00 the next morning because I'm helping out at a big horse show a few towns away! YAAG! I'll be a zombie...*Sigh.* When do you 2 usually get up in the morning? I'm a real early bird, and it's really easy for me to wake up. In the winter I usually get up at 7:00, and in the summer 6:45. Once my friend slept till noon! I could NEVER do that...could you? Well I wouldn't know what my accent sounds like because I don't even know I have one unless someone says, "Oh, you've got an accent. Where are you from?" I get SO annoyed by that! But I can't say R's as in pearl. A doctor of mine once said that my accent was sort of German. Heck! I dunno...today my friend Rosa (she's adopted drom Honduras) came over and we watched a movie. Then she played me a Britney Spears song. Do either of you like Britney? I don't, personally. Then I saw that one of my FAVORITE songs, "Only Time", by Enya, was on this CD of my Dad's called, "Songs Played After September Eleventh." One of his students (he teaches music history to college kids) had made it. I thought it would be normal songs, but during the beautiful "Only Time", there were kind of weird-sounding voices, like they were coming over the radio, saying things like, "...I saw people jumping out the window..." "...there was this great black cloud..." "The plane swooped, and then went right into the south tower."

It scared me to death! Brrr.
Well guess I'll go on that cheery note.
Luv, Kestrel
