His mother was a witch and his father a muggle. When he found out she was a witch he abandoned her, while she was pregnant with Tom. She died giving birth and lived just long enough to name her son Tom after his father and Marvlo after his grandfather. Tom was sent to a muggle orphanage. He went to Hogwarts and found out there that he was a descendent of Salazar Slytherin. He managed to open the chamber of secrets. He had an interesting alias though, that he used only with his closest friend. Lord Voldemort. He left Hogwarts and traveled and fell out of touch with all who had knew him. When he returned to the wizarding world again he was unrecognizalble as the young boy he had been when he left, and much more powerful.
