Subject: Ghosts? WhatGhosts?

“What an excellent day for an exorcism” – Regan MacNeil

This is a league of lure and legends. Unexplained supernatural phenomena that you can unarguably swear you feel in your bones BEFORE you watch them unfold. We, as Eagle fans, have seen these spirits appear when we want them to the least. Difference being, recently they have not been quite as deadly.
For instance, our hopes and dreams, for playoff bliss, in the past 18 seasons have usually depended on our multidimensional, greatly talented, QB. Number 12 showed us flashes of brilliance. At times we thought with him anything was possible. We knew, however, one thing was probable. We watched and waited for the injury. The one that after it took place we watched him leave the field and come back in street clothes later that game. We watched him pout on the sidelines as all desires of the Promised Land faded quickly. This ghost dared to attack our beloved number 5. It didn’t know what it was in for. There was no pouting. There was no leaving. There were touchdown passes! And as it was announced that he would be out, his teammates didn’t fold. There were no blank stares fro the coaching staff that read, now what? These warriors rose up. They wanted to show the league, the world, fear us; we are not a one-man team. This ghost also did something different. It underestimated number 5. Straight back to hell with you, he will be back.
A further apparition is one I unaffectionately refer to as the loss. The loss refers to that contest that we lose to a division rival that has a loosing record. Maybe I am paranoid to think this is just us. Divisional teams always teams play each other tough. Our team in past years lost these games, just as we needed them most. I must admit, the end of our regular season I looked for him. He was scared; he didn’t bother to show up in Washington or Dallas. This regime has exorcized him.
Perhaps the most infamous specter to rear its ugly head in our direction just happened. You know the one. The Giants seem to resurrect it as needed. I knew he was coming. He was there as # 11Norwoo…. I mean # 2 Akers lined up late for a field goal. Distinction being two fold. We would still have a first round bye. We would be hosting at least one home game. Additionally, #2 is one tough son of a bitch. Line him up again, he’ll make it. Too little too late specter. Wide right…… all right.
The final phantom I am to speak of has the ability to apparate/disapparate from Philadelphia to any city, at any time. It attacks any team whose success brings fortune to the Eagles. He had a perfect opportunity Sunday. 4:59 left in New England he thought he had an easy day at work. I could almost see Brady peek out from over center, look him dead in the eyes and say, “Not Today!” The Phantom ran. He ran to the meadowlands where some of his friends had been the day before. He was to late. The time out had been called. The troops had been rallied. The Jets were fired up and he was caught in the after burn.
I can’t explain the lack of venom from these metaphysical creatures. Maybe they know that their home is being blown up and they can’t afford the seat licensing in the new stadium. Nah, it’s the stare. You know the one I mean.
THEY FEAR REID

Believe yet?
