To whom it may concern:

It has come to our attention that our glorious and omnipotent Team of Destiny is in danger of not finishing the season with a perfect 14-0 record. While we Riders fans can understand the desire of some of you other teams to win a game every once in a while, your obviously underhanded methods of securing imaginary "victories" over our heralded club are malicious and unwelcome. Please stop it right now. We have sent a petition to the league commissioner asking that our true record so far of 4-0 be reflected in the official standings, as the currently displayed 0-4 mark is clearly the work of vandals and hooligans.
Now, us folks here in San Antonio can understand your jealousy of the overwhelming power of our team. It's OK! You can't help it. But it is really not good manners to do things like sneak onto our league website and change things around, like changing poor Charles Talley's rushing total! Why, we ran into him at the local saloon the other day and asked him how many yards he had so far, and he said himself "about 1000 or so I guess, and I have at least 15 touchdowns too"... so we know someone has been messing around with the published numbers!
In closing, please don't let your petty envy of our mighty Riders interfere with your good judgment. We are asking the owners of the Mexico, Birmingham, Ohio and Montreal franchises to do the proper thing, and please write to our league commissioner and let him know that you are outraged over the misrepresentation of the outcome of your games and to please change them to losses to San Antonio. You know that you will feel better about yourselves afterward, and it's just the right darned thing to do!
