I know things like late draft submitions can be a little irritating, but I want to point out that from my experience, you guys have a pretty good thing going here.

I'm in another Sim, also with 18 teams. Late gameday submitions are the norm, to the point that they play a game about every 6 weeks. Roughly 6-7 of the owners are truly involved (including the Commish) and the others are seldom heard from. I've tried to encourage participation on my end by talking a little trash, making a website for my team and offering trades to little or no results. In fact I offered two last week and have heard zero back.

Now I love that league and the guys who run it, but it's a little discouraging to know that the season will take probably in the neighborhood of 3 years to run!

In the FWL, I've traded or haggled with...

Ohio
Scotland
Mexico
Orlando
Montreal
Paris
Austria
Frankfurt

...and have been ignored by two teams. That's an 80% hit rate for me. Not too damn bad. Instead of dwelling on the two that didn't get back to me, I'll appreciate the 8 that did (and say another 'thank you').

I ran my own Fantasy League for a while, too. I had one guy who told me last season he was considering trades for that entire season...in JUNE. Training camps hadn't even opened yet. Then twice he submitted his team wrong at the last minute and once even included Miami kicker Olindo Mare as a defensive back. Never mind that he's a kicker, he was on another guy's roster!

That's not to say that everything is perfect; having done the Commish thing, I think those who are constantly holding things up (and I'm not singling anyone out, I don't know who they are) should show a little consideration for the fact that Paul obviously busts his ass for this thing. But believe me you could do MUCH worse.

Just my two cents. CANADIAN cents, no less, so they're not even worth THAT much...
