Subject: I allow Him to have me
In reply to: Nucc 's message, "So then" on 09:26:01 06/17/03 Tue

There is no way I can deny Him any part of me.

The parts I would try to keep from Him are still His. He is my Creator. He is all knowing and seeing, so I cannot hide any part of myself.

I try to become fully me. That way I am listening to Him all the time. He, as my Creator, can expect no more from me than He created. So I must strive to beome the person He created.

As to knowing what is from Him. I would suggest that the path is unique to all. It is part education, part experience, and part feeling. No one else can completely define our path, or restrict our knowledge in any way. His voice can often be from the small, weak and less fortunate in our life.

There are many components to our identity. Part is cultural. That is usually a birthright. We give this culture its due, but sometimes it stifles our identity, so it cannot be all.

Our religion is much the same as culture. Sometimes we must consider what has been taught to us for how it affects our being. We may need to change parts to have it reflect more of who we are.

Family is supposed to be the most secure thing we have. It can be but in today's world this is not often the case. Our family becomes those that stick with us through everything while honoring who we are.

Friends are the most turbulent aspect of who we are. It is thus fitting that they give us the most opportunity for growth. But we must also make sure that they are nt detracting from who we are.
