Subject: A rant on my own board

Why are all arguments I read on the boards so two dimensional?

I mean evolutionary theory is much more than Darwin, and is in no way supposed to explain everything. It is a theory of progression, not origin (The title "The Origin of Species" was to show common lineage and progresssion, not to define from whence the original species appeared).

Inversely the arguments presented against creation as an origin are equally one-sided. All "creationists" are shown to be fundamental Christians that oppose science. This is not the case. But the arguments go on, and understanding is no way nearer.

Why do people (some people) refuse to really listen, and rely only on the simplistic appraoch they have created for themselves?

Can't we listen to each other? Can't we take the time to learn about each other? Can't we avoid our own narrow-minded prejudices about people, and refuse to group those that disagree with us in small stereotypical groups?
