Ringo abruptly lifts his head off of Nina's shoulder at hearing the racket. Pulling her off of his lap, he stands up and moves towards the door, looking back at her as he says in a tone that made it quite obvious he was wary of the person on their doorstep, "Stay there. I'll be right back." He opens the door and sees the young girl standing there, and asks, "What seems to be the trouble, young lady?"
