Though the Misted Meadows may seem like the worst home for a human, a wild horse would think other wise. The remnants of an ancient farmhouse and barn stand like phantoms in the eerie hollow that was once called by the name of Misty Meadows Ranch. It was said that the family who lived here where slain by savage Wild-Ones bitten by the rabid, a man, woman, and three children. Their bones can be found rotting in the far bog, though horses care nothing of this. The land is safe from all predators, and injured horses who cannot keep up with a herd are forced to take refuge here until they heal, if they ever do. But only the sick and old may live here, for it is said that the ghosts of the family and their beasts dwell within, protecting the weak, but smiting the well. Beware the farm horse’s ghost, for he is a stallion set to protect the ill, dare you enter without cause and befall the fate he planes for you? Or is it simply a myth…
