Strange Prepubertal Ordeals in Norwegian Schools

I grew up in the capitol of Norway, Oslo, and attended school there in the 1960es and early 1970es. At that time physical examinations were a very prominent feature in the school. I attended a class with only boys, so I do not know if this was equal, more prominent or less prominent for girls. But I had the impression that boys were scrutinized more than girls.

We had a yearly physical where the school nurse or a doctor examined us completely naked. Three boys were usually called down to the office of the school nurse. Then we had to take off all our clothes, and then one by one we were let into the examination room whre the examination took place.

Even though we were completely naked, there was not any specific genital check at these examinations, exept a brief testicular exam in grade 1 and hernia exam in grade 7. But of cource they saw all parts of us.

But when we reached the prepubertal age in grade 5, 6 and 7, the school health system grew stedily more interested in our pelvic region, the development in this region, the function of our pelvic organs and behavior changes that had some connection with our pelvic area. Their main area of interest seemed to be:

1. Our blader function and our pattrn and habits of urination.
2. The function of our colons, rectums and anuses and our pattern and habits of bowel movemnts.
3. Patterns of erection, and patterns of swelling in our perineal region, especially in the nights.
3. Secretions through our urinary openings and our anuses.
4. Anatomical changes in our testicles, penises and scrotal sack.
5. Anatomical changes and muscular status in our anal area.
5. Anatomical changes and flexibility in our hip joints.
6. Changes in our gait pattern, pattern of sitting or pattern of leg movement.
7. Habit of masturbation.
8. Any kind of symptoms from our pelvic area.

As said, these particularities were never addressed in the ordinary physical, and at the onset neither with any special exam performed by the health service itself. Instead they let the teachers, school dentists and parents do the wanted observations and report back about each individual child, according to specific instructions given to the teachers and parents.

I experienced these aordeals like this:

We had our ordinary physical in early springtime, which did not seem to be anything out of the ordinary. But then my parents got some letter from the school authorities that seemed to provoke a lot of discussion between my parents, centered around my bodily functions and habits.

Then my parents, mostly my father, went to the school to have consultations with the school authorities, and as I understood mostly with the school nurse and a female teacher that was the suoervisor of certain services at the school, and actually was the boss of the school nurse. This happened several times during the year until the next spring. At least once between each consultation some strange thing happened.

After the evening meal, I suddenly got extremely tired, which was not my usual pattern, and I only wanted to go to bed. Also my parents had already prepared my bed, as if they anticipated me to get so tired suddenly. I strongly suspect that my parents gave me some relaxing medication in a cup of tea i always drank at my evening meal. I then slept heavily until the next morning. But some of these nights I still woke up a very short time, opened my eyes and got aware of somethings going on with me.

My parents had taken the blanket off my lower body and pulled down my underwer, or taken them totally off. They were examining som part of my pelvic area,actually holding the part open with teir fingers and looking into it. While looking they were discussing quitly what they saw.

I was so tired that I did not care what they did, only observed it without any interest. and soon I fell asleep again before my parents had finished what they were doing. I woke up at differnt stages of that inspection at different occations, and remember different things they did.

1. At one occation they had pulled mye forskin back, spread my urethral opeing and sat looking into it while discussing.

2. At another occation they had rolled me onto my side, flexed up my legs and was holding my buttocks spread while looking and disqussing.

3. At still another occcation they were palpating my hip joints, also this time quietly disqussing.

The next day my parents were usually sitting in the kuitchen disqussing quietly and filling out some formula.I ocationally heard words that told me they were taling about my pelvic health or my bodily habits.
