If it prints a barcode on the ticket, you should be OK. A movie theater chain here in Milwaukee allows you to print your tickets at home and when you take it to the theater, they scan it. Additionally, our big annual festival here, Summerfest, changed their tickets this year to where each ticket had it's own unique barcode. It is meant to crackdown on the counterfeiting of tickets. Each barcode is recorded when it is scanned, so they know (in the case of counterfeit tickets) if a barcode has been already used or not.
