On the language track, here's a recent Gulson insight:
"language becomes its own objective. Exactly what this is, I'm not entirely sure... I think it's something to do with us never being anything we can't imagine now. So we materialise in how language is organised."
He thinks you imagine with given language.
So that his 'language becomes its own objective' means that
1. You have to think before you do. You have to conceptualise your next action before you perform it.
2. Since concepts are built out of (existing) language, they are bound to be limited by ('become') that language.
I suppose he would disagree with the ideas that:
1. You can say new things by using existing language.
