Subject: She smiled, looking over at the girl - a year of lessons had made a huge difference in how the girl rode. She chewed her mouthful of brownie before she reassured her. "You still looked fabulous - for the education you had had at that point. Remember most of those girls that you were competing against in that show have been riding horses since they could walk." She nodded and then picked up the remote to skip several frames ahead on the dvd. "Look, this is only a month and a half later and look how far you'd come."

  • She pursed her lips and watched herself whilst breaking off a chunk of the brownie, eying the video of herself and her beautiful horse with a critical eye, agreeing that she had improved- but this time picking out that she was looking down- she still did that sometimes- and ELiza never failed to pick up on it. She smiled a little as she saw them receiving their champion sashes and rossettes, sighing almost whistfully "You think he'll ever be up there again?" She still worried that he would have lost his nerve jumping, or that his knee injuries would prevent him jumping- desipite toms promises that there was no physical reason he couldn;t still clear those fences. Laceyw ould still love him and spend as much time with him as she ever had- but she would miss the showing- and she wouldn't feel right showing another horse- it would be like she was betraying spencer.
