Subject: Folly at the Festival

All in all, the first annual Britain Freedom Festival was well received! We had a great turn out for the treasure hunts after a bit of a late start. Intarsia (courtesy of O|S) and Ahab (courtesy of OPG/PCB) led us into the depths of the jungles and wilds of Felucca to dig up legions of wretched beasts! Thank you Intarsia and Ahab for a great evening and to all that attended and donated their spoils to the Britain Council of Virtue.

By 7pm, I realized that no, I was not well prepared for our shindig. Moments before utter panic set in, Shantel and others from Stormhaven arrived with food, drink, and decorations! Just in time to feed the much deserving treasure hunters! Thank you for the donations of food and drink; they were much appreciated by all. The decorations were just the touch needed to make the Fairgrounds "festive"!

As many sat and observed the impromptu duels on the Fairgrounds stage, Hagrid of OQA warmed up his lips and made ready to treat the ladies with warm kisses! Kristen from OPG/PCB was kept quite busy selling seeds to the throngs of women waiting in line to pucker up with the elf! Luckily, Greyskull of OPG was on hand to help her restock as needed.

The Whipping Vine Hunt, led by Lady LaBelle of *V*, was very well received. Lady LaBelle led the way to the swamps of Yew for those willing to plant their thorns in the mucky waters and kill off the Whipping Vine! Thank you for kindly volunteering your time, Lady LaBelle!

The Vorpal Bunny Hunt, led by Lord Dryzzid Losstarot of BCV, was also well received. It is my understanding that some of the bunnies survived our hunters and got away but not all the bunnies were so fortunate. Thank you Dryzzid!

Mosaic arrived loaded with boxes for the very popular Twenty Questions game. She gave away many highly valued prizes, such as a pillows recovered from a ship wreck and a stretch hide! All prizes were donated by Tapestry of O|S. We are in your debt m'Lady!

Though DarkerTrais was on hand to supervise the pet fights, we never got around to them. The archery contest didn't get off the ground either. Despite that, many stayed at the fairgrounds late into the night and all stated they enjoyed themselves.

My deepest appreciation to the Council members and their guilds, who volunteered their ideas, time and their goods to make this event a success. Thanks to all our participants who joined us in this wonderous celebration; I hope everyone had as much fun as I!
