Sanctus Festival of Life

Share in the laughter brought forth by the mountains of ale, marvel at the wondrous skill of the avid storyteller, and join in singing and dancing to the tunes of sprightly minstrels.

If prowess be your desire, you shall find yourself thoroughly entertained by two battle tournaments in melee and magery. Or, delight in the presence of champions from throughout the realm as they gather to do battle in one of the most exciting of sports - Jousting.

Should you find yourself famished, feast on smoked leg of lamb, roast pig or some of the other many offerings of hearty food and drink.

So gather your friends and join in this celebration of life as we welcome spring to the lands of Sosaria.

Schedule of Events

Thursday, April 17th

Spring Celebration Parade
Time: 6:00 pm EST
Location: Luna City South Gate
We shall kick off the festivities with a parade from Luna City to Sanctus. Cheer on the gallant Champions from across the lands who come prepared to battle in the Jousting Tournament. We shall warm the hearts of all with a fabulous fireworks display along the parade route! If you, or your group, would like to participate in the Parade, please complete the registration form. There will be 40,000 in gold pieces up for grabs in four categories of prizes: Best Spring Costumes, Most Jubilant Spirit, Largest Coordinated Group Effort, Best All Around - individual or group.

Melee on Foot
Magery Contest
Time: 6:30 pm EST
Location: Sanctus, Arenas One and Two
Where the parade ends, the competition begins! A contest of skill will be simultaneously waged in two arenas surrounding the Sanctus Tavern, also commonly known as Hanse's Hostel. Not up for watching the battles? Then join the tavern staff for a free round of ale! Melee on Foot will be held in Arena One, which is located directly beside Hanse's Hostel. The tournament winners shall received 25,000 gold pieces and runners-up will receive 10,000 gold pieces. Those who wish to participate, please complete the registration form.

Bunny Race
Time: 7:00 pm EST
Location: Behind Sanctus Tavern
Bring those pouches of gold out behind the tavern and bet on some of the fastest bunnies in Britannia! We've gathered some of the fasted bunnies from throughout Britannia and they're ready to race to the finish line to put some gold in your pockets!

Our racers this year are:

Flopsy - Flopsy is the mellow bunny of the bunch. He's content with a nice carrot and lots of attention.

Speedy - As the name implies, this bunny has a set of hind legs that never stops!

Cuddles - Cuddles hates to be left out and races solely for the attention she receives after winning.

Twinkle - Twinkle gets his name from the nearby Pixies that have trained him well just for this race.

Belly - The biggest of our racing bunnies, belly loves to eat! And he has the figure of proof!

Bets are 1,000 gold per person, per bunny. So if you wish to bet that Belly will win the first race, then place your 1,000 gold bet on Belly. If you can't decide between Belly and Cuddles, then place your 1,000 gold on each bunny (for total of 2,000 gold). There will be five races total and the winners will split the purse equally.

Easter Egg Hunt
Time: 7:30 pm EST
Location: Sanctus, City Proper
The Easter bunny came early, and he left sacks of prizes all over the City of Sanctus! Find the most and you'll not only keep your prizes, but Sanctus will also award you 25,000 gold pieces for helping us clean up the eggs!

Wildflower Pageant
Time: 8:00 pm EST
Location: Sanctus Theater and Events Center
Ladies, strut your stuff to win the judges favor and you would win 25,000 gold pieces! Sign-up here, or at 7:45 in the theater lobby.

Easter Dinner and Ball
Time: 9:00 pm EST
Location: Sanctus Theater and Events Center
Join us for a sumptuous feast of the finest delicacies to satiate your appetite. Several contests will be included as part of the dinner festivities, including - Best Bawdy Ballad, Most Romantic Poem or Story, Most Seductive Female, Most Dashing Male and Most Elegant Couple! We will also announce the winning numbers for the lottery and allow those participating in the mystery chest game to try their keys on the chest of goodies.

Friday, April 18th

Jousting Tournament
Time: 7:00 pm EST
Location: Outside Hanses Hostel
The true highlight of the festival! Come out to cheer on your favorite as Champions from throughout Britannia compete to find the one true champion of Jousting.

Awards Ceremony
Time: 8:00 pm EST
Location: Castle Blackgard
Join us as we close the Spring Festival with an awards ceremony dedicated to all the winners throughout the two day event.

In addition to these scheduled events above, there will be a number of other side contest and activities throughout the two days.

Merchant Market
Located on the main floor of Castle Blackgard as well as in booths along the main road of Sanctus. Blacksmiths will be on hand to repair and make weapons and armor, Tailors will showcase their finest garbs, and much more. Crafters and Merchants interested in participating in the market can sign up here.

Mystery Chest Contest
Alanna, stationed on the steps of Castle Blackgard, will be selling keys for 1,000 gold pieces. One lucky key will open the great chest overflowing with more than 150,000 worth of gold and prizes!

Lottery
Alanna, stationed on the steps of Castle Blackgard, will be selling lottery tickets for 5,000 gold pieces each. There will be 5 prizes given away during the drawing which will take place during the Easter Dinner & Ball.

Hanse's Hostel
The Sanctus Tavern, located in the heart of town, will be open throughout the festivities to provide food, drink and warm hospitality.
