Subject: With a grumble of frustration, he slammed the hood shut and then ducked back into his car to turn off the stereo - blasting KISS greatest hits - and pull his keys from the ignition, then grabbed his bag from the trunk and finally made his way down the path and then up the stairs, stopping when he saw her. Sighing quietly, he set his bag down by the door and then stepped over to her, brushing his fingers quietly through her hair. "Gabby..."

Quietly, she murmured something in Spanish before she smiled at him sleepily, her eyes moving past him to the darkening sky. "I didn't think you'd be home tonight." She spoke softly, grogging with sleep though her hand reached up to trace delicately down his jaw. It was so good to see him, her present and her future, to put the past behind her once again.
