Subject: She charges back in with ears pinned. She probably shouldn't have left, but after hearing Othello's promising outlook on Gangsta's situation, her frustration with a greater situation returned. The royalty, of whom she longed to adore as she felt royalty ought to be, had been quarrelsome. Quarrels were for enemies, but one should have nothing against their own flesh and blood. She could not understand that, nor did she want to. It irked her, though, that they who she was supposed to look up to could act in such a manner that she felt so negative about. >>> |

She sighs, slowing to a trot and arching her neck to the ground. It wasn't her business to be concerned about, after all. Still, it bothered her and angered her. Where, if not in the royalty themselves, could one find one that was true! They were to be the best of the best...and yet only the worst fought amongst themselves. What did it say of their herd, of the Darks? Were they to never be strong enough to put aside differences and band together, since even families, even their leaders could not agree?
She halts suddenly, shaking her lowered head forcefully. She'd thought enough about the matter, and it accomplished nothing. It was best to concern herself with other matters now.
Raising her rough, yet elegant dark head, her ears prick and catch sight of Death slipping away as her eyes move towards Gangsta. Question registers in her eyes, but she resolves to ask later, for there was something about his way of moving, of his look, that was lost to her... She notices not only Gangsta's improvement, but there was something else more drastically different in him. She steps forward, though almost hesitantly it appears, as she tries to figure out what caused such a change.
"Gangsta?" She approaches, about to reach out to brush his side as she was accustomed to, to make sure he knew she was there. She catches his eye, though, and draws back quickly, almost with a frightened look. She hadn't expected that; it wasn't the Gangsta she'd grown used to. His eyes had landed upon her, and there was no blank stare!
Realizing her mistake, she quickly recovers and realizes what has happened. She untenses her muscles and her high-held head, a small smile spreading up one side. "...You can see! Congratulations! ...Perhaps this accident wasn't quite the misfortune we'd thought it was, huh?" She cocks her head, giving him a look anew. "I'm sure you won't soon forget the pain, though," she says dryly, cringing slightly. "You did take quite a blow."
