Realizing Risk wants a private word with Death, she turns her attention elsewhere, gazing off into the distant hills, allowing Death to go forward to speak to Risk. It was not her affair, yet her curiousity was great. Only the ear she fought to keep forward showed this. Finally, she drops her head and begins to graze, but the lone ear still longed to tilt back and catch just a word of the business that was not her own. She could handle this mate thing, after all...
