Subject: For John Hensley/Gabriel [and Julian McMahon/Cole from Charmed] fans...

I just posted this on my Charmed site, and will be adding to the WB site as well, but thought I'd sent it over here first. Bon appetite!

FX Gives Schedule Facelift With Nip/Tuck

FX continues its move into original series programming with Nip/Tuck, a plastic surgery drama the cable network hopes will build on the critical and popular raves for The Shield and the momentum of the upcoming Lucky. According to The Hollywood Reporter, FX has given the show a 13-episode pick-up.

Nip/Tuck, created by Ryan Murphy (Popular), stars Dylan Walsh (Everwood, Brooklyn South) and Julian McMahon (Charmed, Profiler) as Miami-based plastic surgeons. On the brink of expanding their practice, their friendship is put to the test when McMahon's character goes off to do pro bono plastic surgery on burn victims. The show also co-stars Joely Richardson and John Hensley (Witchblade).

"I'm very enthusiastic that Nip/Tuck can pick up where The Shield left off, while broadening the audience a bit," says FX Entertainment President Kevin Reilly. "I think this will have a little more female appeal."

Fans of the dark and violent The Shield need not worry that FX is going soft, though. Nip/Tuck will explore plastic surgery in all of its violence, pain and viscera. Each episode will feature three surgical operations achieved with extensive prosthetic work and special effects, showing the lengths people will go to obtain greater beauty.

Nip/Tuck will premiere in midsummer after the conclusion of the first season of Lucky.
