She lies low in the tall, dry grass, stalking the doe and her fawn. She decides she will go for the large doe and after she has killed it the fawn would be helpless and she would soon kill it too. She shall call for help to drag them into the territory after they both have died. Creeping closer she springs out of the grass and attacks the doe. As she clamps on the throat she watches in which direction the fawn runs in. The mother has been killed and brought to a well known spot away where the scavengers or other wolves can't reach her. She scans the area, spotting the fawn hiding where it thinks it will be safe. Dashing towards it, she leaps into the air landing upon it and grabbing hold of its neck, she takes in down in one try. Sufficating it she takes it to the mother's side. Sitting back on her hounches she begins to howl, calling to her pack for help. She needs one pack member to grab a deer and return to the pack.
