Subject: swivel guns

I'm trying to know when where out of use the swivel guns (French "pierriers", Spanish "pedreros") at different navies.

I know that American and British used them at the Revolutionary war, but I don't remember if they used them at the War of 1812.

I think that the British probably declared the swivels out of use in a certain date (probably after 1783 and before 1803 -or perhaps before 1793-), but I don't know when ...

The Spanish used the "pedreros" at least during the first decade of the XIX Century, also during the first yeers of the Hispanic American Independence war and had still some use for them about 1818, at least in the vessels they armed at Philipines Is.
I don't have any idea about the data when the French abolished the pierriers.
Bye and thanks in advance
Gerardo
