Subject: Hunter or hunted?

It was a different day, and all could sense it. There was danger in the forest. A sheep had been killed by a wild dog at the farm, and of course, the wolves where blamed. For more then a week the humans searched before they found the Autumn�s Hollow, a home of a single pack. This would have to do for their ignorant slaughter. And so the group of five men bearing guns and seven hunting dogs set out on horseback, searching, waiting, and imagining the prize for their �heroic� feats. A twig snaps, a careless wolf�s fault. The party raises their guns, ready to shoot. A shot blasts the valley, a miss, a shameful mistake. The horses rear in alarm at the fierce echo, unseating two of the men. The third gallopes to toward the village, the dogs and loosed horses in tow. But these men still have guns, and so they decide to be heroes alone. What chance do the wolves have now?
