Subject: I finally was able to read this.

It's nice when life is too busy to even get to something that I really want to see. But I'm glad I finally got to read it.

It cracks me up that you were able to make Kennedy just as annoying as in the show - and yet, somehow make me sympathize with her (at least a little).

I very much liked Willow's description of how she felt about Oz and Tara, and her own sexuality while she was with each. I found this infinitely more convincing than what the show gave us.

The spoon from Xander was sweet. And the conversation near the end between Giles and him got me all teary, in a good way. This SHOULD have been in the show, darn it!

Why do you think it is that you've written more stories about Oz than any character other than the Angel and Spike? There must be something about him and his position that strikes a chord with you and I'm curious what that is, if you can say.

Thanks for the Valentine's Day gift.

I'm sorry I couldn't have Kennedy eaten by a shark, but maybe in the next story. :)

I agree with you about the Giles and Xander relationship. In fact, while much was made of Giles's father-like relationship with Buffy, I always thought that Xander, who really had no healthy parental relationship, really looked up to Giles more.

And I have a friend whose dad makes those spoons. Apparently it's a big hobby in the British Isles among retired gentlemen.

As for your Oz question... I think I tend to be inspired to write about characters that I connect with personally, but obviously different aspects of myself connect with different characters. Angel, I connect with the obsessive/addictive parts and the guilt (though less for us both as time goes by...), and Spike, I connect with the loneliness and being misunderstood. With Oz, I guess I'm a lot like him. Quiet, even-tempered, private.

Or it might just be that I like exploring the aspects of being a supernatural being.
