As with the famous Australian country singer who died last year (and whose name now esacpes me, I'm embarrassed to say), this is a life story that I'd managed to miss. Thanks for posting it because it was a fascinating read.

Slim Dusty was his name, and no need to be embarrassed. The reason we post these is so our international brethren can have a glimpse of at the lives of our national treasures, most of whom are not that well known outside of our borders.
