Subject: The fat lady has sung...

Grr aaarrrghhh! Buffy is over for me now. Hey, I get to be spoiler free now - just don't mention anything about what happens in episodes of Angel, Alias, Charmed, Enterprise, Stargate... oh boy, I am still a virgin waiting to be spoiled! :-(

The last episode fulfilled every expectation - every Scoob had their moment, every one had a line or two, even the new ones on the scene had their moment. It was an emotional roller-coaster with the lows of the loss of Spike and Anya, Buffy and Faith having near misses and the tremendous uplifting high of the destruction of the Hellmouth; Sunnydale is no more - but then there's always Cleveland.

I feel a great vacuum now - looming up in front of me, the only salve being that Season 7 is going to be repeated (the unexpurgated versions) in January of 2004 - so I have that to look forward to.

Over the Xmas I am going to examine my own feelings about BtVs and the impact it has made on me, my thoughts and feelings about the journey that Joss has taken us on.

I wonder if the writers here - and there are some quite wonderful writers on this forum - might like to do the same and we can have something tangible to take with us.

Maybe I'm just talking bollocks, but I thing the Jossian carousel has omade a seminal impact on my own life - maybe it has affected you too, or maybe it is just another clever, well-written and realised tv show?

As ever, it is down to all of us!

...knowing that something you've invested so much time and energy to is over.
