Does anyone besides Sean & I watch the "made for TV" movies on the Sci-Fi channel? They are hilarious!

The acting is terrible....the stories unoriginal...but I can't get enough. They seem to star tier 3 movie or TV stars as the headliners...most of the production budget goes into promoting the heck out of show...because I am duped EVERY TIME...I think..."hey, this one looks pretty good"...and then I watch and cringe.

From the website..I can see that the Sci-Fi channel does't take itself too seriously..for example...

Here is the verbage for "SKEETERS"..the show up next..

In this ecological horror story, the illegal dumping of dangerous toxic waste creates a swarm of monstrous mutant mosquitoes that begins to feed on the residents of a secluded desert town. Sexy-cute Tracy Griffith (Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland), Melanie's Griffith's half-sister, stars alongside Jim Youngs (Cyborg 2), John Savage's younger brother. It's sibling revelry! And it's directed by Clark Brandon — Eddie Brennan on The Facts of Life! How can you go wrong!? Character-actor faves Charles Napier, William Sanderson and Michael J. Pollard round out the cast.

..."Sexy-cute Tracy Griffith (Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland), Melanie's Griffith's half-sister..."

That's a little gem of funny.

I watched the one with Amy Acker, just to see if she was as dull in another role as she is as Fred. (She was.)

I think I'll have to catch "Skeeters," though. If the movie has any sense of the humor this ad has, it would be at least mildly amusing.

My weakness when it comes to bad made-for-TV flicks are the romantic comedies on the Family Channel. To be fair, a couple of them have been not bad, but all of them are so formulaic it's almost not necessary to watch them to know how they turn out. Despite that, I'll be there this Sunday for the one with Jason Priestley and Emma Caulfield. (At least that one I can write off to "Buffy" loyalty.)

The pause is usually to figure out what the HELL is on.

I agree with you. And the titles are almost as funny as the movie itself.

When I'm channel surfing. Some of them have a certain charm - enough to hold my interest for a while, anyway.

That blurb is a comedic gem.
