i know what yer talkin about. i know its hard and all...but i guess once u get comfortable with yerself, u will not care about what other people will think of you, unless they matter so much, like yer family. good thing fer me i dont live with my parents thats y i dont hafta deal with em. however, i have a dilemma with officemates and new acquaintances. they talk to me under the assumption that i am straight (since i look straighter than yer average guy) and, i cannot tell em, "ey, i cannot relate with whatever yer talkin about." though ive done courting girls, havin girlfriends and all to conform to the socially constructed norms, its hard to relate and pretend yer ineterested. whats worse is how to tell em im gay, despite the facade. i think the process of self acceptance comes in stages. and i agree that the channel helps in doin that. there maybe some repressed emotions we cant usually show in public in fear of being ostracized, being considered a pariah. but, u know what, i think the philippines is becoming a gay community as evidenced by the ubiquitous gay lingo, even straight people understand. what i dont know is if that is an indication of wide acceptance. hehehe.
anyway, m tellin you its hard to be in the closet. id advice, (heheheh, here i go again giving unsolicited advices) to be discreet and express yerself, by that you get the best of both worlds. if u know what i mean. you can look straight, act straight and yet let people know u are gay, at least, the right people (read: prospects). I must warn u though, sometimes its hard tellin who the prospects are from the homophobics. hehehe thats the risk, and thats where trhe fun comes in. gaydar dude. hehehe. does the saying it takes one to know one appeal to yah? anyway goodluck bro!!!
