Subject: F150 manual hubs
In reply to: Benjamin S. Turel 's message, "ford f150 302 5.0" on 15:57:22 03/13/03 Thu

I recently bought a '79 F150. It is my first 4WD vehicle. I wanted to try out the 4 wheel drive and went to lock the hubs. I had heard they get stuck sometimes and used a pair of pliers to switch them over. There was a clicking sound as they switched over. Later I realized that I had spun them the wrong way to lock them. Will spinning manual hubs the wrong way break them?

Thanks for your time.
Andy
