I HAVE A 1989 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS,TODAY THE PLASTIC BUSHING THAT HOLD THE SHIFT CABLE TO THE THROTTLE BODY LINCAGE BROKE AND THE CABLE FELL OUT,THIS VEHICLE HAS A 302CID ENGINE WITH AN OVER DRIVE AUTOMATIC. NOW THE TRANS WILL NOT GO INTO OVER DRIVE AND THE CAR WILL NOT GO OVER @35 MPH WITHOUT THE TRANS DROPPING OUT. I HAVE REPLACED THE BUSHING AND CHANGED THE FLUID AND THE PROBLEM REMAINS.CAN YOU TELL ME IF THERE IS AN EXTERNAL BAND ADJUST OR IS THE TRANS. BAD?
