Subject: Transmission question

I was driving my 2000 Olds Alero (auto transmission) at about 35mphwhen i went to shift it into neutral. I went too far and shifted it into reverse. I heard a grinding noise and shifted it back into drive half a second later. Any ideas of what this could have done to the tranny?
