Subject: speaker add-ons

I have an apline cda 7875 4 channel stereo, and i want to add on 2 more speakers to the back region of the car. Can I connect the new speakers to the rear speaker wires comming out from the radio or do i have to buy a new stereo.
And if i can will the sound quality suffer on the new and rear speakers, because there would be two speakers on a single channel. thks
