Subject: Factory Head unit, want subs

Hey guys, ummm... I have a factory head unit in my ford focus, and i was wondering if there was anyway to hook the subs up even though there are no rca inputs on the head unit. Your help would be very appreciated. My friend and I tried hooking them right into one of the speakers. that didnt work, kinda left the subs sounding very muffled.
