I am interested in doing medical transcription from my home on a part-time basis. I presently work in the front office of a busy internists' office. I am familiar with medical terminology, have arranged testing for patients and approved medical charts. I originally attended nursing school years ago but did not complete due to marriage and children. I did work in Muhlenberg Medical Center in the medical records department transcribing doctors' notes and x-ray reports some years ago. I have also worked in the medical records department in the office where I am at this time. I am not familiar with the going rates or how to begin. Would you be able to steer me in the right direction? Most Sincerely, Sandra Kay Mehringer
