I WAS SENT NORTH TO EXTEND LZ ENGLISH AT BONG SON IT WSA THERE I Was INJURES ABOUT 7 MILES NORTH OF LZ ENGLISH WHILE RETURING FROM A PLACE CALLED PEANUT ISLAND I HIT A LAND MINE AND WAS PICKED UP BY THE COMMANDER OF A 227 SPECIAL FORCES AS I RECALL I WAS EVACUATED TO LZ ENGLISH AID STATION THIS WAS 1966 I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONTACT SSG BARR I DONT KNOW HIS FIRST NAME BUT HE WAS IN THE VEHICLE WHEN I HIT THE LAND MINE ANYONE WHO WAS AT LZ ENGLISH IN 1966 WITH THE 513 ENG CO (DT) PLEASE CONTACT ME BY E-MAIL I RETIRED IN 1986 AT FORT KNOX KY . FORM BONG SON WE WENT TO TUY HOA WITH THE 101ST AIRBORNE WE RAN CONVOYS TO VUNGROE BAY. FROM THERE WE WENT BACK NORTH UNTIL MY TOUR WAS UP. I RETURNED TO VIET NMA IN 1970 IN DANANG - HUE- QUANG TRI WILL BE HAPPY TO HEAR FROM ANYONE WHO WAS WITH THE 513 ENG CO (DT) was with the 513th engr co. dump trucks, attached to
