Bloom, I'm in St. Matthews but I do get to Charleston every now and then. Anywhere that looks good in Charleston, probably is. Get permission to hunt construction sites or peoples yards, especially ones that are having work done on them. Parks and playgrounds are other places to start. Not too good for CW stuff but for coins and jewelry to get used to the machine. There's CW stuff all around Charleston, James Island or Johns Island. Get permission to hunt a spot so there won't be any problems and get to diggin'..
What kind of machine did you get? Also, welcome to our forum.. As soon as you find some goodies, tell us about them and the hunt and post some pictures if you want to.
