Although I have reservations about EFT, and find some of the claims a little "rich", this complaint seems to be angry towards the entire industry rather than specifically EFT. It makes interesting claims about journal writing being discredited, when I am aware of this being still a commonly well regarded tool. Also it critises any non-medical model as being innaccurate. the client may wish to read some R.D. Laing here! There are a wide range of different models used to explain and support cases in the general area of mental health / personal development. All have areas that are criticised. The Psychology and Psychiatry models are particulary commonly attacked. This person, although they have my sympathy for their condition, seems to be displaying their anger towards a wide range of ideas. Perhaps they should spend some quiet time reflecting on their personal areas of frustration. At the end of the day, no one tool fixes all problems. EFT included.

I think however it is a good thing to have constructive debate about these issues, and I for one welcome feedback from dissatisfied clients as well as those who have clearly benefited. It all helps the debate and the improvement of standards.

I wish the client all the best for the future, and I hope they find a model of therapy more suited to their personal needs.

Best wishes
Paul
